Skybox House by Primus Architects

The Skybox was made being a partitioning of a bigger plot belonging to an outdated whitewashed, thatched residence belonging towards client’s loved ones. the client didn’t want the fence separate the two plots. They wanted a light and spacious contemporary residence for themselves and their 4 year-old daughter. Primus Architects was challenged to develop a property which can connect with the aged property and present intimacy and serenity. The answer was letting the house be the fence and ntroduce big skylights that would enable a somewhat closed facade facing the other house. the oak was choosen through the architects as the facade, and deal with it with iron sulphate to bring out the framework within the wood and darkening it. Iron sulphate offers yellow color for that chalk on family’s home. With 2 bedrooms the software amounted to some total of 75 m2 of residing space. adding spatiality and knowledge of light on the fairly tiny program was the primary focus on interior. The program sets the bedrooms apart from the huge residing space and introduces an open hallway. Diagonal views stretch out by means of the whole developing. The large glazed openings incorporate the sky. Large sliding doors let the inside and outside melt together.
